Travel Reviews Historic Sites was founded by Gene Pisasale and Phyllis Recca in 2005 and is located in Kennett Square, Pa., within the historic Brandywine Valley. Gene retired in 2010 to pursue his writing and lecture series after working for 24 years as an energy analyst/portfolio manager in the investment industry. He holds a Master's Degree in petroleum geology from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA Finance from San Diego State University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Phyllis has worked in the computer industry since 1974 and is currently CEO of GG-One Software. Both are authors; Gene has published several historic mystery novels which can be found at www.GenePisasale.com. He also contributes an ongoing series of articles on historical topics called "Living History" to The Daily Local and other regional newspapers of the Chester County area. Phyllis has two illustrated children's books titled "Bat Bebe" and "Bat Bebe - ABCs and Aliens." All of their books can be found at Amazon.com.
Gene and Phyllis created this website to chronicle their adventures and experiences while visiting interesting places throughout the world for more than thirty years. Their travels across the United States and foreign countries inspired them to share insights on the history and best attractions to help you better enjoy your visit.
DEDICATION : This website is dedicated to my mother, Ida Pisasale, who instilled in me a love for life and an interest in the endless variety of people, places and things on this Earth and to my aunt Olga, who passed away in 2012 after 92 wonderful years of living. Their belief in the principles of honesty, hard work, kindness to others and enjoyment of the wonders of life has inspired me to explore the world through my work.
